Georgina Island

One of our favorite anchorages is behind Georgina Island. There is good holding and very little boat traffic. A great place to see the moon rise, raft off with a fellow cruiser or just chill out after a busy week. It’s about a 3 hour sail from Lagoon City on a good day. You are sheltered behind the Island from all but a South East wind. You will hear the sound of the trains as it makes it’s way around the west side of the Lake. The sunrise and set is great the night sky is magical with our city lights you have a clear view of the sky and can count the shooting stars you will see.
