LCYC 2021 Sail Past

Our  Executive has decided to put on our Sailpast on the water, and a  complementary outdoor Sailpast dinner on the lawn of our club, on August  7th. Here are the key details:

• Complementary (free) to our senior and social members
• Somewhat  modified from our regular more formal event and tradition, e.g.  informal attire OK, modest dinner, decorate your boat if you wish to
• Meet on lawn at 2:00pm for Sailpast skippers meeting and dedication
• Order of boats (by seniority) out to the channel out to the lake
• Sailpast the Commodore's boat at anchor
• Drinks back on the lawn 5:30 (BYOB)
• Dinner 6:00 (pizza, salads, etc.) as organized by Social Director Marilyn
• Afterwards some tunes and dancing if the mood suits you
• If  heavy rain day we will postpone to the next day Sunday, but an earlier  start and finish (times TBA, likely something like a start 11:00 and  lunch 2:00)
• Note we are not going inside the clubhouse except to  use the washrooms.  Wear a mask if inside, and keep mind of social  distancing outside

Note if your boat is not in the water,  the Ontario Stage 3 guidelines do allow for others outside your  residence to be on board, with social distancing.

Perhaps you can hitch a ride with someone.  If not come to the dinner and meet up with your LCYC friends.
