Club Clean-up Day

May 28 has been set aside as our annual Club clean-up day. Volunteers are needed to help both on the exterior and interior of the Club, to get things ready for Sailpast weekend, and generally ready the Club for the season. Start time is 10: 00 am. Rain date is Sunday, May 29th.

About the Event

May 28 has been set aside as our annual Club clean-up day.  Volunteers  are needed to help both on the exterior and interior of the Club, to get  things ready for Sailpast weekend, and generally ready the Club for the  season.

Start time is 10: 00 am.  Rain date is Sunday, May 29th.

We would like to remind members that this is an excellent opportunity to  contribute towards the 10 hours of annual Club service hours.

Also, envelopes with a copy of the 2022 Handbook and membership cards  will be available for pick-up on this date in the Clubhouse.

Clean-up activities include:

Exterior:

  • grass raking
  • BBQ cleaning, tank fill as needed.
  • cleaning of chairs and picnic tables, and set up on the lawn.
  • Installation of chiminea
  • application of goose repellant
  • shed cleanup
  • power wash front entrance/walls
  • install the deck awning
  • remove Committee boat tarp and cleanup of committee boat
  • Note: some cleaning supplies will be available at the club.  Please feel free to bring extra.

Interior:

  • Cupboard wash
  • Fridge cleaning and restart
  • inventory  of supplies and restock (tea, coffee, sugar, paper products, garbage  bags, food storage, etc.).  Keep receipts for reimbursement.
  • cleaning of tables and chairs in the clubhouse
  • cleaning and set up of tables and chairs on the deck once the awning is installed
  • window cleaning
  • trophy cabinet cleaning
  • Note:  some interior cleaning supplies will be available at the club.  Please feel free to bring extra.
